In
July, 1965, the Town of Plymouth delivered a one-thirds fiberglass model
of Plymouth Rock to the Worlds Fair in Flushing, NY. Seen here are the
Plymouth guides selected to accompany the Rock. After the model was situated
in the New England Pavilion, the guides separated to see the Fair. A number
of them took adavntage of the then 18-year old drinking age in New York,
which resulted in their being sent back to Plymouth in disgrace. Four who
hadn't gotten drunk were allowed to stay
for several days.
